Firewood Giveaway Terms

1. Promoter

R. Elkin N.W. Arborist (Tree Surgery), Congleton, Cheshire CW12. Contact 07943 961691 or r.elkinnwarborist@gmail.com.

2. The prize

One bulk bag of mixed species seasoned logs, delivered free of charge to the winner. There is one prize and one winner.

Log sizes vary and cannot be requested. The wood comes from our own tree surgery work, so every bag is a mix of species and a mix of log sizes. We cannot guarantee any particular species, size or split, and we cannot take orders for specific dimensions as part of this prize.

There is no cash alternative. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or resold.

3. Who can enter

Entrants must be 18 or over, resident in the UK, and at an address within 10 miles of the CW12 postcode district. Entries from outside that radius cannot be fulfilled and will not be counted in the draw.

Employees of the promoter and their immediate families are not eligible.

4. How to enter

Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. On the giveaway post on the R. Elkin N.W. Arborist Facebook page:

One entry per person. Duplicate entries, and entries from fake or duplicate accounts, will be disqualified.

5. Closing date

Entries close at 23:59 on Friday 16 October 2026. Anything received after that time will not be counted.

6. Choosing the winner

One winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries within 5 working days of the closing date. The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Notifying the winner

The winner will be contacted by a reply to their entry and/or by Facebook message within 7 days of the draw, and must respond within 7 days with a delivery address to claim the prize. If no response is received in that time the prize is forfeited and a replacement winner may be drawn.

8. Delivery

The bag is delivered free of charge within 10 miles of CW12, at a time agreed with the winner, normally within 14 days of the winner confirming their address.

Safe ground-level vehicle access is required. The bag is dropped at an agreed point only. We do not carry logs through a property, up steps, or around the back, and we do not stack or unload the bag into a log store.
